Shazamed this the other night as I couldn’t remember if I had added it to my library at any point. The song was recorded by Pablo Cruise in 1978. It reached 6 on the Billboard Top 100 that summer. It can be found on their album “Worlds Away”.
A bit about Pablo Cruise. They literally cruised through the ’70s’ and into the ’80s. A good band playing their own brand of pop-styled rock. They formed in 1973 and released 8 albums over the next 10 years or so. They put out approximately 15 singles, including a release in 2020. Of these singles, 5 reached the top 25 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The single highlighted here is their most well-known cut and is very indicative of their sound and direction. A bit of an earworm though.
